The Challenge
of Connecting
Pioneer Bank needed to show off their suite of services — fraud protection, mobile banking, Smart Start and Pocket Change savings — in a way that would actually convert new and existing customers. The problem? Banking features can feel dry, complicated and forgettable. They wanted a way to engage people emotionally, not just inform them.

Solving
the Story
Partnering with Boyd, we started sketching and storyboarding. Which led to the creation a series of short, vibrant animations designed to feel approachable and human. Everyday characters, drawn in a simple yet distinctive style, carried warmth and relatability. The animation style was fluid, bouncy and interconnected — each transition artfully sliding into the next, keeping attention high and the energy light. Instead of lectures, these spots felt like friendly conversations.

Crafting
Style
For Pioneer, we didn’t just animate features — we built a visual language. The palette was bold and inviting, pulsing with energy but never overwhelming. Characters were simple, approachable and distinct, designed to reflect everyday customers without slipping into clichés. Transitions flowed seamlessly, each scene bouncing and sliding into the next with a rhythm that kept viewers engaged.
Showing the Way
Throughout the animations, Pioneer’s arrow wasn’t just a logo element — it became a guiding force, weaving through the story, directing focus and tying the entire campaign together. The end result was animation that felt less like a bank ad, and more like a friendly guide leading you into a smarter financial future.
Animating
Results
The animations gave Pioneer a fresh, distinct voice in a crowded banking space. Customers didn’t just learn about fraud protection or round-up savings — they connected with it. The spots drove engagement, hit their goals, and left Pioneer more than pleased. Proof that even in banking, the right story, characters, and flow can turn complex features into something people actually care about.
